VEMPs Study

Participants Needed for Research Study!

Chiz Tamaki at the Vestibular and Balance Lab are looking for volunteers to study the effects of Age and Hearing Sensitivity in vestibular functions in young and older adults.

Who can participate?

- Young Deaf adults between the ages of 20 and 30 or

- Young Hearing adults between the ages of 20 and 30 or

- Older Hearing adults ages 60 or older

- Available for 1 hour of vestibular testing

- No middle ear pathology, including ear infections and microtia/anotia.

What does participation look like?

Participants will complete a non-invasive vestibular and balance testing at the Gallaudet University Hearing and Speech Center.

Payment

Older adult participants will receive $50 while young adults will receive $15 upon completion of the testing at Gallaudet University.
